Is Payhip a good choice for selling digital products in India?
Payhip works in India, through Razorpay, and it is built for selling worldwide. It handles VAT for European and British buyers and sales tax in the US and Canada. Its pages say nothing about Indian GST.
If most of your buyers are in India, that is the gap: on Payhip the buyer pays you, so GST on the sale is yours. On Stashq, Stashq sells to the buyer as merchant of record, prices in rupees, and sends the GST invoice.

What a sale leaves you on Stashq
Per sale, after GST and payment processing. The higher figure is a UPI payment, the lower a card.

- ₹752.35 – ₹776.38
- Creator₹499 a month · Stashq margin 3%
- ₹794.68 – ₹818.71
- Pro₹1,499 a month · No Stashq margin

After 18% GST, which Stashq pays, and payment processing. The higher figure is a UPI payment, the lower a card.
What changes when your buyers are in India
- Plans in rupees. No dollar subscription on your card — the plan, the prices and the payouts are all in INR.
- Invoices you never write. Stashq sells to the buyer as merchant of record and sends them a GST invoice.
- Big files. Up to 64 GB per product, against Payhip's 5 GB, with uploads that pick up where they stopped.
- No gateway account of your own. UPI and cards work at checkout from day one; you set up where your payouts go, not a payment provider.
Questions
Can a seller in India use Payhip?
Yes, through Razorpay, which Payhip supports for sellers in India and which brings UPI. Your store can be priced in rupees, matching your Razorpay account. Stripe is not an option: India is not on Payhip's list of Stripe countries.
How much does Payhip take from an Indian sale?
5% on the free plan, 2% on Plus at $29 a month, and nothing on Pro at $99 a month. The payment processor's fee is on top on every plan. On Razorpay, you are paid the full amount and Payhip bills its share to your card at the end of the month.
Does Payhip handle Indian GST?
Payhip's pages say it handles EU and UK VAT and US and Canadian sales tax. None of them mention India or GST, and its terms say buyers pay you directly, so GST on an Indian sale is yours to account for.
When does Stashq pay me?
Per sale, to your bank account, once the product's refund window closes — straight away for a product with no refund window. There is no minimum.
