1.Seller responsibility
Sellers are responsible for the products they upload, the rights they hold, the promises they make on product pages, and the way they use storefronts, payouts, and storage.
2.Product ownership and accuracy
- You must have the right to sell and distribute each digital product you publish
- Your listings must accurately describe what buyers receive
- You must not upload malicious, misleading, or infringing files
3.How a sale works: Stashq buys from you and resells
Stashq is not an agent or broker, and it does not act as an intermediary for a sale between you and the buyer. When a buyer completes a purchase, two separate supplies happen at once:
- You supply the product to Stashq at a wholesale price, calculated as set out in section 4.
- Stashq supplies the product to the buyer on its own account, as merchant of record, at the retail price you set.
Stashq issues the tax invoice to the buyer in its own name and under its own GSTIN, and is the buyer's counterparty for that sale. You do not contract with the buyer, and you are not the supplier of record to them.
4.Pricing and what Stashq pays you
You set the retail price of your product. Stashq buys each sale from you at a wholesale price and that price is what arrives in your account — it does not charge you a fee, and there is no listing charge or subscription requirement to sell. The wholesale price is the retail price after:
- the GST that Stashq collects from the buyer and remits to the government;
- payment processing, passed through at the amount the payment provider actually charged on that transaction — never an averaged or marked-up rate;
- Stashq's margin, at the rate for your plan. This is the difference between what Stashq charged the buyer and what it paid you, and it is not a charge levied on you.
What Stashq pays you is inclusive of any tax you owe on your supply to Stashq. On that supply you are the supplier and Stashq is the recipient, so if your own registration requires you to account for tax on it, that tax comes out of what you were paid. Stashq does not ask for your GSTIN and does not gross the payout up.
Every sale, and the arithmetic behind it, is itemised on your statement. That statement is a statement of account, not a tax invoice: on the wholesale supply you are the supplier, so any invoice for it is yours to issue.
5.Payout timing, holds, and refunds
Payouts are held until the refund window for the product has closed, so that a refunded sale does not have to be recovered from you after the fact. If a buyer files a refund request close to the end of that window, the hold is extended until the request has been decided, so a payout is never released while a claim on it is open. Reserves, holds, or delays may also apply where the payment provider requires them or where account activity triggers risk controls.
If a buyer is refunded, the sale is reversed in full: Stashq refunds the buyer and the corresponding wholesale purchase from you is cancelled, so nothing is owed either way on that sale.
6.Support and disputes
Because Stashq is the seller of record to the buyer, buyer-facing disputes are handled by Stashq. Your obligations under these terms run to Stashq, not to the buyer.
You are expected to respond reasonably and promptly when Stashq raises an issue about product quality, access, delivery, or listing accuracy, including where Stashq is answering a buyer's refund request or dispute. Stashq may resolve a buyer dispute at its discretion and reverse the corresponding wholesale purchase.
A refund request gives you 48 hours to respond. If you do not, Stashq refunds the buyer in full automatically and the wholesale purchase for that sale is reversed. The deadline is always a full 48 hours from the request, even where that runs past the end of the product's refund window.
7.Reviews on your products
Buyers can rate and review what they bought from you. Only a buyer with a completed purchase of that product can leave one — there is no other route, for anyone.
- You cannot edit, hide, delete or reorder a review, and neither can we do it on your behalf on request. This is the whole reason a rating on your storefront means anything to a buyer reading it.
- You can report a review that is unlawful, targets a person, reveals private information, or was not written by the buyer it claims to be from. We look at it and decide. Reporting does not take it down — it stays up while we look.
- A refunded sale loses its review automatically. You do not need to ask, and it is not something we do case by case.
- Reviews are not a conversation: there are no public replies, so a review is the buyer’s words and nothing is published under your name beside it.
You must not post reviews on your own products, ask anyone to post one they did not earn, or offer anything in exchange for a review. Doing so is grounds for the enforcement in section 8, and for Stashq it would breach Rule 7(2) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, which binds us as the seller of record on every sale made here.
8.Enforcement
We may remove products, pause payouts, restrict accounts, or terminate seller access if seller activity creates risk for buyers, payment providers, or the platform.
9.Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
The courts at Motihari, Bihar shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of Stashq as a seller.
